Philippines: Typhoon Megi Expected to Reach Manila within 5 Days

Megi is expected to reach the North within the next 5 days, reaching the capital at approximately 10am on Monday 18th October 2010.

Megi is predicted to become a category 4 storm meaning that disruption to daily life and destruction of property is very likely.

The storm currently has top gusts of 50m/s (100kt), It’s current centre position as of 12:45 UTC on Friday 15th October 2010 is N15°40′(15.7°), E135°35′(135.6°).
