Tsolmandakh Munkhuu’s 2014 Spring Summer collection for men and women is inspired by a central symbolic figure of her native Mongolian culture, the eagle.
Hoods, feathered designs and the presence of battle-like leather pieces evokes the landscape of hunting and falconry which weave through the history of the country.
Munkhuu grew up in Mongolia and moved to France in 2005. She studied at the Atelier Chardon Savard. In 2010, she launched Tsolo Munkh, based in Oulan Bator.
Munkhuu’s award-winning creative projects are still heavily influenced by the Mongolian steppes and Buddhist traditional elements.
