Rafael Nadal has won his eighth French Open at the Roland Garros stadium in Paris.

Rafa beat David Ferrer 6-3, 6-2, 6-3 in just two hours and 16 minutes.

The two Spaniards were watched by their own Crown Prince Felipe at the match in the Philippe Chatrier Court.

In the women’s singles, Serena Williams beat the reigning champion, Maria Sharapova, with a convincing 6-4, 6-4.
