Mushers Ready for 1000km Dog Sled Race – La grande Odyssée Savoie Mont-Blanc

32 Mushers will compete in the 2015 edition of La grande Odyssée Savoie Mont-Blanc – a 1000km dog sled race through the Savoie region of France. The race takes place from 10th to 21st January and gains over 25,000 metres throughout the course.

9 Nationalities will be represented in the race: France, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Belgium, Poland, Spain, Norway and Germany. Of the 32 teams, 8 will enter Siberian Huskies to compete for the Nordic pure-breed classification.

Seven full-time vets as well as a host of student vets and volunteers will be present to make sure the canine athletes are in top shape for the gruelling competition.

Hublot have been named as Official Watch Partner of the race and timing will be key for the teams as they compete in both daytime and dark across the snow and mountains.
