“Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” Out December 2011

Tom Cruise is set to star in yet another Mission: Impossible film alongside Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton and Simon Pegg. The action packed film will involved a plot to blow-up the Kremlin, an international conspiracy and a mission “off the grid”.

If Mission: Impossible, with its signature theme tune and seemingly endless supply of sequels could be described as the American version of James Bond, then Simon Pegg is the new Q. The comedian star of Hot Fuzz and Sean of the Dead has now officially broken Hollywood with a main part in a top blockbuster.

The film location ranges around the world, taking in the famous skyline of Dubai as well as the White House in Washington D.C.. One of the BMW vehicles provided for Tom Cruise’s next film is the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics concept car. Ian Robertson, BMW AG Board Member for Sales and Marketing said of the vehicle:

“With its futuristic design and large glass surfaces, the car offers a fascinating perspective on the future of sheer driving pleasure – in combination with maximum efficiency. Also with BMW ConnectedDrive technology, it is the perfect car for Ethan Hunt to outsmart his pursuers through narrow streets and busy city traffic.”

The plot of the film follows an attempt to bomb the Kremlin with a nuclear device. “Ghost Protocol” is initiated, allowing the agents of the Mission Impossible team to operate outside of the usual channels once they have been internationally condemned as terrorists.
