Race 6 at Meydan on Thursday January 13th 2011 was the 21:40 “Conquest” Conditions Race for Thoroughbred racehorses.

This race took place on the All-Weather circuit over a distance of 1200m (around 6 furlongs, or six eighths of a mile), and connections competed for a share of the $110,000 USD prize fund, $66,000 USD of which went to the winner.

Our Giant kept on well in the closing stages to win by half a length under another good ride from Christophe Soumillon. Next came the closely matched Inxile and Alo Pura who were separated only by the judge after a photograph showed David Nicholl’s gelding to be a short-head in front. Bankable was a length behind in fourth place, followed by a blanket of four closely matched horses to make up the remaining prize-money places.
