His Excellency Mr Maher El-Adawy Thanked for Positive Contribution to Liberia

Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Egyptian Ambassador Mr Maher El Adawy and Liberian Foreign Minister Mr Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan

President Sirleaf of Liberia has personally thanked the Egyptian Ambassador to Liberia, His Excellency Mr. Maher El-Adawy, for his positive contribution to her country. The pair met at the Executive Mansion in Monrovia to say farewell as Mr El-Adawy has completed a two-year tenure in the country.

Mr El-Adawy is credited with bringing Egyptian investment to the country and signed 13 bilateral agreements between the countries which covered scholarships, the provision of doctors and the training of diplomats. He also championed the cause of the Muslim community in Liberia.

The Foreign Minister, Mr Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan, will hold a farewell reception in honor of the outgoing Egyptian diplomat on Friday 17th August 2012.
