Franck Sorbier Haute Couture A/W 2010: Paris

Franck Sorbier presented an operatic collection at the Paris Haute Couture week this July in the French capital. Costume pieces from ballerinas to diva-style metalwork corsets were made all the more theatrical by dry ice and leaves on the ground of the catwalk.

Professing to maintain an attachment to the colour black for its modesty, Sorbier chose pink for his tutu piece for “the love of song”. The breadth and range within the collection is based on the “Chinese portrait” concept.
