Arsenal’s excellent 3-0 away victory over Manchester City in yesterday afternoon’s Barclays Premier League fixture has prompted their manager, Arsene Wenger, to heap praise on 23 year old French midfielder, Samir Nasri.
Speaking after the match, Wenger said “I believe we have a great player in him now.”
Wenger also added:
“At 23 years old your career starts at the top level and he is becoming more efficient.”
“I think he has become stronger physically and you judge a player with his numbers. On Sunday he had a goal and an assist so that’s what you want from players who have a lot of talent like he has.
“He is quite a complete player because he can run with the ball, he is quick and he is a clinical finisher now. I believe we have a great player in him now.”
Nasri currently leads the Arsenal goals chart, with seven goals in all competitions so far this season. He added to his tally with the opening goal in yesterday’s match at the City of Manchester Stadium before adding an assist for teammate Nicklas Bendtner.
Arsenal currently sit in second place in the Barclays Premier League, five points behind London rivals Chelsea.
