Football: New Faces in Stuart Pearce’s First England Squad

New stand in England manager, Stuart Pearce, has named his first England squad – to face the Netherlands in a friendly on Wednesday 29th February 2012 – including two uncapped players in his 25 man squad.

Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley, and Sunderland forward, Frazier Campbell are both named in Pearce’s 25 man squad to face the Dutch next week, while there is no place for Frank Lampard nor Rio Ferdinand as the new manager looks to test the international credentials of up and coming players.

Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard, who has missed a lot of England matches through injury, and Manchester City’s Micah Richards are both back in the England squad for the first time in over a year.
