Football: FA Cup 2010 Fifth Round – Sunday Results
By Sport Desk; published on February 14, 2010 at 4:53 pm
Today saw the final three FA Cup 2010 Fifth Round matches of the weekend take place. Some exciting football has ended with only one positive result from those matches: there was little or no romance from today’s Valentine’s Day fixtures.
Most exciting, perhaps, was Aston Villa, who needed an equaliser in the final minutes from Petrov to spare their blushes against lower league opposition away at Crystal Palace. The sides finished 2-2.
Spurs came back from a goal down to draw 1-1 at Bolton’s Reebok stadium. Huddlestone had a penalty saved by the evergreen Jääskeläinen: the second FA Cup match in a row that Spurs could have sealed but for a missed penalty. The sides will replay at White Hart Lane in the coming weeks.
Premier League Fulham made considerably easier work of their opponents from down the ladder when defeating Notts County 4-0 at Craven Cottage.
