Greece have announced the following provisional 30 man squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament.
Otto Rehhagel, the Greek coach, has selected a couple of players who are looking to make a quick recovery from recent injuries in his provisional squad, but it remains to be seen whether or not Christos Patsatzoglou (knee) and Giorgos Seitaridis will be fit enough to make the final 23 man squad.
It may be that Rehhagel takes a half fit Patsatzoglou for his role on the bench – the AC Omonia utility man would make a good backup as he is able to play in a number of positions in defence and midfield – something which is often vital for the latter stages of big tournaments.
Greece will play in Group B along with Argentina, Nigeria and South Korea.
