Fashion Flock Winters in the Scottish Borders

A flock of specially rescued Wensleydale sheep have been sent to spend the Winter in the Scottish borders after their owner Izzy Lane decided that West coast would provide a milder climate for the rare breed animals, compared to their usual haunt on the slopes of the North Yorkshire Dales.

An organic farm will take over the care of the distinctively dreadlocked ovines, who supply fibres for Lane’s boutique woollen fashion line as well as Lily Cole’s North Circular label.

Lane’s pieces are aimed at the country lady, providing a perfect fit for those treading the heather moors over the European Winter time.

Combining sharp tweed-like jackets with warm knitted woollen, the collection provides everything needed by those experiencing a cold climate in the Northern Hemisphere.
