Environment: Sting and John Legend to Perform at 40th Earth Day

The 40th annual “Earth Day” event is due to take place this month, in Washington DC, UDA, with international acts like Sting and John Legend confirmed to perform at the Climate Rally.

Events, which run from 17 to 25 April 2010, focus on the 40th Anniversary Earth Day of 22 April.

Confirmed guests for the week of events include Sting, John Legend, The Roots, Bob Weir, Patrick Stump, Mavis Staples, Passion Pit, Q-Tip and Booker T.

Earth Day itself, on April 22nd, in Washington DC, will see speeches from Nancy Pelosi and Congresswoman, Donna Edwards.

Sting and other internationally acclaimed musicians are due to perform at The Climate Rally, which runs from 12 to 7pm on 25th April to bring the curtain down on the event for 2010.
