Commuter Train Derails in Paris

A commuter train has derailed in the southern Paris suburb of Brétigny. The train crashed as it entered a station at speed at around 5:15pm.

The train was travelling from Paris to Limoges and was carrying around 350 passengers when it derailed on Friday evening.

The French Minister of the Interior, Manuel Valls, has confirmed at least seven fatalities and warned that more may be announced later in the day.
