I've been to HK on business at least a dozen times over the past couple of years and I've never been tempted to visit Macau. I honestly didn't think there was anything to do. But I've been dying to bungee jump and rather than go all the way to to New Zealand I'd rather do the tallest one here.

Wow. What perfect timing. I'm heading to HK for a week next month and I had been considering if my husband and I would have enough to do for an afternoon in Macau or not, since neither of us gamble. After reading this it looks like there is so much to do that I just booked two nights at the Mandarin Oriental for a surprise getaway. Looked up the hotel and it looks gorgeous.

I'm a long time resident of Quito and enjoyed your post. While Zazu is good, i have gotten ill on one occasion there-ill enough that I have not returned in 4 years. I have not heard of Coquus and thank you for your reporting. I would love to know more but the link to Coquus goes to a restaurant in Spain, I don't think it's the correct llnk. And Hacienda Cusin and Otavalo are both definitely worth a visit as you pointed out, as well as the nearby town of Cotacachi. If you are looking for chocolate in Quito, please don't hesitate to contact me!

As of 22nd February 2012 there is still no change in the Prince's condition. He is stable, but not out of danger. Doctors will issue a statement once there is a more substantial prognosis.
