Charlie Le Mindu SS14 – An Explosion of Colour and Light

Charlie Le Mindu has excelled himself this season with a stunning array of phosphorescent headpieces teamed with racy PVC jumpsuits.

Models for the show arrived on an elevator slowly vogue-ing their way down to the ground floor of Citroën’s DS World near the Champs-Élysées in Paris.

Dressed in skin-tight black PVC, the creations stalked their way slowly down the catwalk. The women moved like predators and birds, displaying the Gaga-esque creations while wearing futuristic boudoir masks reminiscent of Nero’s dubstep video “Promises”.

The collection featured Proto-folk bonnets made with crocheted flourescent wool strung with wire. Mohican-style Indian headresses gave the future-past theme an air of Bladerunner.

Funghi and jellyfish inspired headpieces were the showstoppers, though the applause were reserved for a thrashing drag stripper tossing a luminous fiery wig along the floor of the show.

Expect to see these pieces shortly in music videos and films.
