Capital One Cup 2013/14 – Fourth Round Results

The Capital One Cup – the English League Cup – 2013/14 Fourth Round matches took place on the evenings of Tuesday and Wednesday 29-30 October 2013.

There was much excitement, with eight goals shared by Birmingham and Stoke, in a 4-4 thriller which needed penalties to split the sides. Spurs also needed penalties to shake off Hull City after an exciting match at White Hart Lane finished 2-2.

Chelsea got the better of Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, 2-0, while Man Utd picked up some momentum with a 4-0 home win over Norwich.

Championship side Leicester made it through in entertaining style with a 4-3 home win over Premier League outfit, Fulham.

Capital One Cup Fourth Round Results – Wednesday 30 October 2013

  • Newcastle 0-2 Man City
  • Tottenham 2-2 Hull – Tottenham Hotspur win 8-7 on penalties

Capital One Cup Fourth Round Results – Tuesday 29 October 2013

  • Arsenal 0-2 Chelsea
  • Birmingham 4-4 Stoke – Stoke City win 4-2 on penalties
  • Burnley 0-2 West Ham
  • Leicester 4-3 Fulham
  • Man Utd 4-0 Norwich

The remaining fixture Sunderland v Southampton will be played on Wednesday 6th November 2013, at 19:45, as a result of a clash with Newcastle’s home fixture against Mancester City.

The Fifth Round – the Quarter Final stage – of the Capital One Cup will be played on the week of December 16th 2013.
