Barclays Premier League 2013/14 Table, After Matchweek 11

The 11th matchweek of Barclays Premier League 2013/14 took place over the weekend of Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th November 2013, with a range of surprising results.

Current leaders Arsenal were halted in their current run of form by Manchester United who won the battle between these two Premier League heavyweights at Old Trafford on Sunday 1-0. United moved up to fifth, while Arsenal, who began the weekend five points clear, were pegged back by Liverpool and Southampton who both scored four goals in strong victories.

It was a below par weekend for other London clubs, Chelsea, who drew with West Brom, and Tottenham, who lost 1-0 at home to Newcastle despite dominating for long periods. Both teams failed to capitalise on Arsenal’s misfortune.

More shocks took place at either end of the table, this weekend, though, as bottom side Crystal Palace – still without a full time manager – picked up a point to high flying Everton, while Sunderland, for so long the whipping boys this season, were the most surprising winners of the weekend, as they defeated Manchester City 1-0 at the Stadium of Light.

The full Barclays Premier League table as it stood following the fixtures of Sunday 10th November 2013 is detailed below.
