Australia Celebrates Hurdles Win With New Stamp

is celebrating its gold medallists with a new stamp for every athlete who claims top spot on a podium at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Sally Pearson, who won the women’s 100m , will soon see her own face in the Aussie postal system when the are released to retail outlets on 13th August 2012. All the have been turned around within 48 hours of the medal wins.

Pearson, 25, clocked an Olympic world record of 12.35 seconds to beat 2008 winner Dawn Harper of the USA by just 0.02 seconds. She will join fellow Antipodean Olympians , , , , , Melanie Schlangeron and on the front of envelopes and postcards across the continent later this month.
