Aussie Cricketers to Play on Thames

Cricketers from the Australian Ashes Squad will have a training session with a difference on Thursday 20th June 2013 when they bob down the Thames on a special floating pitch.

Michael Clarke, Shane Watson, Chris Rogers, James Faulkner and Mitchell Starc will play under the shadow of the Tower Bridge from 4pm at Butler’s Wharf Pier.

The event has been organised by Cricket Australia, who are looking to attract visitors to upcoming cricket events in Australia: the Commonwealth Bank Ashes Series, the Carlton Mid One Day Series and KFC T20 Internationals.
