Aung San Suu Kyi to Visit Australia 27th November to 2nd December 2013

The Leader of the Burma’s National League for Democracy, Aung San Suu Kyi, will visit Australia between 27th November and 2nd December 2013.

Australia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Julie Bishop, will welcome the world-famous politician to Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne, where Aung San Suu Kyi will attend public events and meet members of the Burmese community in Australia.

Aung San Suu Kyi is currently the Chair of the Burmese parliament’s Rule of Law and Tranquillity Committee and the Yangon University Revitalization Committee, taking up those positions following a bi-election in April 2012.
