Andrea Crews Introduces the 500 Euro Banknote Dress

Andrea Crews has introduced the ultimate in fashion satire for a French designer in a recession. The label’s Ete 2013 collection includes a number of pieces fashioned after its national currency.

The 500 Euro banknote dress and jumper sample a lovely hue of purple, but also draw attention to the vacillating boom and bust of seasonal economics.

Bare bellies, buttoned-up denim and tracksuits give the collection a distinctively early-nineties reference though some pleasing sheer black numbers establish Andrea Crew’s credentials as a thoroughly original designer.
