2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil: Group Stage Fixtures

There’s excitement building around the world, as the global game prepares for its major event: the FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil kick’s off on Thursday 12th June 2014, when the hosts, Brazil, will be taking on Croatia in this year’s Group A curtain raiser.

The 2014 Group stages include several eye-catching fixtures, including big European bouts Spain v Holland and England v Italy in the first three days, before Germany take on Portugal on Monday 16 June.

Brazil’s second match, with Mexico, will be the showcase on June 17th, while England v Uruguay on 19 June looks to be another important fixture in the difficult Group D.

The final couple of days of Group Stage fixtures also feature some impressive matches, and may see at least one African qualifier for the knock-out phase: Nigeria v Argentina is on Wednesday 25th June and Portugal v Ghana takes place the next day.
