Thirteen runners will line up for horse racing’s Blue Riband event, the , this afternoon at 3:45pm BST, Epsom Downs, UK.

The winner may well come from Irish trainer Aiden O’Brian’s stable – he saddles nearly half the field, with six entries, including many of the top horses in the betting market, which is headed by 2,000 Guineas winner, John Oxx trained Sea The Stars.

Of the other entries, the enthusiastic and popular Italian Frankie Dettori will likely see much support from the British public, he rides Kite Wood.

Millions are expected to tune in the the BBC 1 coverage of this original ‘Classic’ horse race, which, for the first time, is this year sponsored by Investec.
